National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week

National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week (NDAFW) will take place Jan. 23-29, 2017.  NDAFW is an annual, week-long observance that brings together teens and scientific experts to shatter the myths about substance use and addiction. Learn more here.

Let’s use this week to help Alaskans understand the harm of excessive alcohol consumption and break down the myths of addiction. Please visit Recover Alaska’s Facebook page each day next week for a new alcohol fact that can be easily shared on your organization’s or personal page. If you are using the facts on Twitter or Instagram, please include #recoveralaska to help us track the traction.

Recover Alaska is also reaching out to high schools across the state to participate in a live online chat about alcohol and drug facts on Jan. 26 – National Drugs and Alcohol Chat Day. A number of schools have committed to streaming the chat in public areas.
