No experience required. \nFAQ\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDo I need to be at a certain yoga level to participate? \nIf you are a first-time yogi or have mastered the art of yoga\, you will enjoy this free yoga activity in the park. Our master trainer will reach all levels during this hour-long session.  Bring a friend and join in on the fun! \n  \nWhat do I need to bring? \nIt’s important to bring clothes that you can move freely and bend in. We recommend layers to accommodate for the Alaskan weather. If you have a yoga mat\, we encourage you to bring it\, but a towel or blanket works great too! \n  \n\n\n\n\nDoes it cost anything to participate? \nThis event is free and open to the public. Bring friends and family and join in on the fun with The Alaska Club. \n  \nWhat happens if it rains? \nYou can find the weather and other updates to Yoga in The Park on our Facebook page. See you in the park! \n  \nAre there restrooms? \nRestroom facilities are provided at both parks in Fairbanks and Anchorage.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the official annual Anchorage Juneteenth Citywide Celebration on the Delaney Parkstrip!\n\nCheck out the Recover Alaska booth and Sober Garden!\n\nSaturday June 18th\nand Sunday June 19th\n1pm-6pm each day\n\nThis event will feature vendors\, entertainment\, dignitaries\, parade\, pageant\, speakers and more!\nThis event is free to attend\, and all are invited.\n\nJuneteenth (officially Juneteenth National Independence Day and also known as Jubilee Day\, Emancipation Day\, Freedom Day\, and Black Independence Day is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating\nthe emancipation of enslaved African-Americans. It is also often observed for celebrating African-American culture. Originating in Galveston\, Texas\, it has been celebrated annually on June 19 in various parts of the United States since 1865. The day was recognized as a federal holiday on June 17\, 2021\, when President Joe Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law. Juneteenth’s commemoration is on the anniversary date of the June 19\, 1865\, announcement of General Order No. 3 by Union Army general Gordon Granger\, proclaiming freedom for enslaved people in Texas\, which was the last state of the Confederacy with institutional slavery.
