SUMMARY:Make a Sit Down Dinner - A Community Event
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to invite you to the next “Make A Sit Down Dinner” with Duke Russell at The Nave. “Springtime In Spenard” on April 12 will be the first of four (4) seasonal dinner projects that Duke has planned for 2025\, with generous support from Alaska State Council On The Arts. Our goal for these dinners is simple: community togetherness over co-created food\, and building connections based on mutual positive intentions. \n \nFor April 12\, we will be making tamales\, enchiladas\, and delicious Mexican sides with support from Taco Loco. Our Amazing Art Ambassador\, Pillow\, will be returning for creative artmaking\, and we will be joined by Beach Tribe SodaWorks with a custom NA mocktail-making drink station! Whether you would like to help with food or beverage preparation\, setting and/or decorating the table\, artmaking\, and/or sharing cultural knowledge\, we would love to have you with us. We are also recruiting more local partners to help with this project\, so if you have nearby commercial kitchen space\, cultural resources to share\, ingredients to contribute\, or additional ideas on how to make this the best dinner yet\, please let us know! \n  \nTo participate\, please register via this link and specify what activities you would like to do (or all of them!) so we can plan accordingly.
