College students miss meals to drink more alcohol

A new study of alcohol use suggests that some college students are missing meals in order to have more drinks or get drunk faster. Researchers asked students about their alcohol use and found that 80 percent of those studied had performed heavy exercise, eaten low calorie meals or even missed meals for up to a full day before drinking. They are calling this behavior “drunkorexia.”
