Anchorage Youth Speak Out

August 8, 2025 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Anchorage Youth Speak Out (AYSO) is a free public event held three times a year. It provides a powerful platform for youth to candidly share their personal experiences with substance use and its effects on their lives. This gathering not only raises awareness but also drives community engagement and action.

At the next event on August 25, 2025:

  • Hear experiences from youth about the impacts of substances and their recovery journeys.
  • Participate in a Q&A Session with youth panelist to learn more about challenges associated with vaping and mental health.
  • Discuss how to work together to build a healthier community for our youth.

Date: Friday, August 8, 2025
Time: 12:30pm – 1:30pm
Location: Fairview Recreation Center, 1121 E. 10th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501

Hosted by VOA Alaska, in collaboration with the Anchorage Adolescent Substance Misuse Prevention Coalition, The Center for Safe Alaskans, Anchorage Community Opioid Response Network (Anchorage Health Department), and the Alaska Department of Health.

This will be an in-person event.
