Experts in Clinical Supervision and Behavioral Health Peer Support will share their collective knowledge and experience in hiring, supervising and providing staff development with peer support staff.

This 7-hour interactive course will address

Foundations and Ethics of supervision

Roles and Tasks of Peer Support Workers

Successes and Dilemmas in Supervising Peer Support Providers

History of the Movement and Core Competencies

Bringing on Qualified People with Lived Experience as Providers

6 CONTINUING EDUCATION HOURS APPROVED BY NASW-AK

Presenters Susan Musante, MS, LPCC, Spencer Ladner, and Lee Breinig, BA are known in Alaska and elsewhere for their work in promoting peer support and providing effective peer support supervision.

We will address complex issues around roles, ethics, qualifications, hiring, billing and practice.

Funding for this course is provided through the Alaska Division of Behavioral Health and is provided at no cost to the participants. Support has been provided by our partners Ionia, Inc. and NASW-AK.

This course will be delivered via Zoom and requires Pre-Registration.
