PC CARES VIRTUAL TRAINING SERIES: Community Conversations for Preventing At-Risk Substance Use
An event every 2 weeks that begins at 10:00 am on Thursday, repeating until July 2, 2026

This four-session, interactive series introduces strategies useful to professionals, family members and other stakeholders to prevent at-risk substance use using the PC CARES model. It is designed to share best practices from research and give time for participants to think and apply them to their lives. Using principles from community change, PC CARES integrates support for using these strategies between sessions and learning from each other, session to session.
We’ll cover topics including youth-focused prevention, stigma reduction, protecting health and saving lives, pathways to care and recovery, and community action planning. You’ll leave with tools to adapt evidence-based strategies to your local context, engage in supportive dialogues for change, and grow your network of peers working toward community-informed solutions.
