A study in Canada shows that three-quarters of the population can’t accurately tell how many standard drinks are in a bottle of wine or high-strength beers. And three-quarters aren’t aware of the link between alcohol and certain cancers. One province is hoping to conduct some research to determine if, when consumers are fully aware of the risks to consuming alcohol, they make a choice to cut back or refrain from drinking altogether.
