Caring for a child with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder or other neurobehav-ioral differences related to trauma and drug exposure can be challenging. FASD Into Action is a training designed for parents and caregivers to promote understanding of brain differences and help families and caregivers build a set of tools to minimize difficult behaviors and promote success in their children.
The Alaska Center for Children and Adults, in partnership with the Alaska Center for Resource Families will present FASD Into Action training over two Saturdays, February 23 and March 2 from 9 am to 3 pm. Care-givers will gain a better understanding of FASD and other neurobehavioral disorders and develop realistic tools to effectively advocate for their child inside and outside of the home.
