YWCA Alaska Women’s History Month – All Ages Self Defense Class

YWCA Alaska and Shirl Baumgardner welcome all women, girls (ages 12+), trans women and nonbinary people to this fun and informative class! We hope to see you there!

Be sure to wear comfy clothes. If you have a yoga mat, please bring it (though it is not necessary to participate). We’ll be doing some ground work as well (though if this isn’t possible for you, we’ll have accommodations). Please also wash your hands well before attending.

Warning: we will use appropriate and anatomical names for body parts. We will also refer to attack scenarios and may reference assault.

Covid information: Tickets are limited to allow for smaller class sizes. Please stay home if you have a fever or are feeling ill, or if you have been exposed to someone who has recently tested positive. Masks will be required at this event.
